Individual Therapy Sessions
We offer one-on-one support through both Mental Health Therapy and Occupational Therapy, depending on your unique goals and needs. Here’s how each service works and how to decide which might be right for you:
Mental Health Therapy
Also known as counseling or psychotherapy, mental health therapy focuses on your emotional well-being and inner experience. In these sessions, you’ll work with a licensed therapist to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe, supportive space. This approach is especially helpful if you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, or relationship challenges. The goal is to help you gain insight, process difficult emotions, and develop healthier ways to cope and thrive.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy supports your ability to participate fully in daily life by helping you build or rebuild functional skills. These sessions focus on practical tools and strategies to manage the impact of mental, physical, or developmental challenges on everyday routines. You might work on things like creating structure, improving time management, managing sensory sensitivities, building healthy habits, or navigating parenting or life transitions. OT bridges the gap between your mental or physical health and your ability to live a balanced, functional life.
Which One Is Right for Me?
If you’re looking to process emotions, explore your mental health, or gain support with issues like trauma, anxiety, or relationships, mental health therapy is likely the best starting point. If you’re struggling more with daily routines, organization, motivation, or functioning due to mental or physical health challenges, occupational therapy may be the right fit.
Many people benefit from both approaches working together—using counseling for emotional healing and occupational therapy for practical support and structure. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to help you choose the right path based on your goals.
Family Therapy Sessions
We offer family therapy sessions to support parents and families navigating a variety of mental health-related challenges that impact the family unit. These sessions provide a space for family members to strengthen communication, improve relationships, and work through issues such as emotional regulation, parenting stress, behavioral concerns, life transitions, or the impact of mental health conditions on the family system. Family therapy helps create more understanding, connection, and collaboration at home, with guidance tailored to your family’s unique dynamics and needs.

Parent Support and Education
We realize, both professionally and through our own personal parenting experiences, that raising children is an extremely important and deeply personal journey —and it’s not meant to be done alone! Our parent support services are here for those caretakers who long to go beyond simply managing behavior. This is an opportunity to nurture wisdom, strengthen identity, and build a foundation of lasting connection with each child in your home.
Every home experiences challenges — it’s simply part of raising children in a complex world! For those moments that feel overwhelming or stuck in patterns of frustration, we want to help! Parent support services are designed to offer meaningful, faith-aligned tools that bring clarity, confidence, and grace to everyday parenting. It is possible to raise emotionally healthy kids while also feeling anchored and empowered as a Christian parent, and we want every caregiver to have the confidence and tools to do so!
Do you intend to:
- Raise kids who make wise choices and understand their value as a redeemed child of God?
- Respond to challenges with calm, clear, grace-filled truth?
- Break patterns of control, shame, or chaos?
- Parent with a clear sense of purpose and strong faith foundation?
- Build life-long relationships rooted in connection and trust?
If any of these reflect your goals as a parent, parent coaching at Hope Reins may be the next step.
We begin with an initial evaluation with our Occupational Therapist, Kelly, to understand your family’s unique dynamics, strengths, and areas of stress. From there, we create goals that often include participation in the Connected Families “Discipline That Connects” course—offered online or in person—which helps parents build skills in a faith-filled, structured way.
