With love and gratitude in our hearts we remember Cody—the wise and gentle leader of the herd at Hope Reins, our very first equine therapy partner, and truly a once-in-a-lifetime horse.
Cody was eternally dependable – known by many for his confidence, patience, and deep insight. He was the kind of horse whose presence brought calm and clarity to every therapy session. He had a remarkable way of connecting with people, offering understanding and comfort in ways words never could. Diagnosed years ago with navicular, a painful condition affecting his front feet and legs, Cody never let his physical challenges define him. Instead, he lived as a powerful example of perseverance, resilience, and quiet strength from the very beginning until his last day.
For all who had the privilege of knowing him, Cody was more than a therapy horse—he was a teacher, a friend, and an inspiration. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, and we are endlessly grateful for the time we had with him.
Rest well, sweet Cody. You will always be in our hearts.
